Episode 64: Help Your Clients Trust You

Trustworthy: Able to be relied on, worthy of confidence

Doesn’t this sound like something that is so valuable to your future and current clients?

Maybe it’s even a trait that they don’t know they’re looking for, or even realize it when they find it, but it can be exactly why someone books with you over one of your competitors.

So let’s get to it, what are some things you can do to help your clients trust you?

Consistency. Be present and seen on social media. Your brand AND you personally. Show your face. In photos, and take it up a notch and show up on video. Instagram stories, reels, IGTV, Live, Facebook, Facebook Live, wherever your comfortable, just choose one and start.

We’ve been going Live for a very long time. For example, when we’re at a wedding show, our followers recognize us and instantly connect. It creates familiarity… which leads to trust.

Do what you say you’re going to do. If you tell them you’ll email them, text them, get them some info… do it, and do it quickly.

Respond. You can’t believe the amount of wedding pros who aren’t responsive. If you do this one thing, you’ll book more weddings. It sounds crazy to even say outloud, but it’s true!

Always be last to respond. However they contact you, let’s say in your DMs, always be the one to close the conversation. When the conversation has ended, you still say something, like “have a great day”.

Speaking of that, the next one is… be friendly and conversational, while still being professional. Don’t be cold, they want to book with someone who will be warm and fuzzy with them along the way.

Follow up. When you give them extra attention before they book, you show them that you’ll be there for them after they book.

Surprise and delight. Watch for places you can be a little extra for them.

Social proof. Share any reviews and/or testimonials as social media posts. When another couple goes to the trouble to brag about you, it’s one of the strongest thing you can do for your brand. Share that!

Focus on referrals. When a future client gets referred to you by either one of their loved ones, or another wedding pro, there’s instant trust. Someone else trusts you, so they automatically trust you.

Hot tip is an action item. Choose one of these you’re not currently doing, and perfect it. That’s it! You’ll start seeing a difference!

There’s something so special and less stressful when your clients trust you through the planning process. It really is so rewarding and makes your business a lot more enjoyable!
