The Wedding Pro Show
Episode 6: A Venue Owner's Thoughts on the Way to a Wedding
This episode is kind of a part 2 to the last episode where I talked about attending a wedding as a guest and things you might not think about as a vendor.
First of all, we didn’t know how to dress as a guest. All of our wedding clothes are what I call ninja black and lean more business than social.
Next we’re on our drive. When you’re working it as the venue, or really in any capacity as a wedding pro, the stressful things are the unknowns.
You’ve done everything humanly possible to prepare, and to prepare for plan B.
Every time you think you’ve seen it all, something happens that proves you wrong.
That’s typically what the drive time convo is when you’re working it.
We wonder which one of the guests who arrived first will approach us about the room being chilly.
Fun fact, did you know it has to start out that way because body heat warms it up fast, no matter what the temperature is outside?
We wonder which of the guests will be harder to dismiss in a safe way at the end of the night.
It’s just a lot of unknowns and we fully enjoyed not worrying about any of them as guests, and are looking so forward to the next one!
These are the same conversations that make it so rewarding to work with you and help you be fully equipped, no matter what part of the wedding industry you’re in.
Listen close to the hot tip at the end!
That’s what grows your business, and that’s what lights me up.
