The Wedding Pro Show

Episode 58: Future Tenant Parking

We live in downtown St. Louis, where parking is at a premium, especially when there’s a Cards/Cubs game in town.

When I was going home today I noticed 2 luxury apartment buildings’ signs out front.

They were reserved parking signs, and they read, “Future Tenant Parking”.

It reminded me of something I teach in all of my programs, assume the sale, humbly of course.

Do you have the confidence to assume the sale, the way these apartment buildings do?

It’s that confidence that often generates the sale.

Think about when you’re shopping for something. Your next home, your next car, your next shiny new electronic, anything.

Isn’t your ideal scenario to find what you’re looking for, make the deal, and move on to the next thing on your to do list?

It’s the same for your couples.

If you can provide the services they need, and let them know that you’re the right choice, confidently, they WANT to book with you.

I was thinking I wish I would have thought of this back when we owned our venues.

If you have any kind of service where the couples come to you for showings, wouldn’t it be so cute even just to have a parking sign that says Reserved for the Future Mr. & Mrs.?

Maybe even a step further and have it say Future Couples of, and I always think I’m hilarious when I use this example… The Love Shack wedding venue?

When they parked there, (Did you notice I said when and not if? That’s another trick to give yourself confidence in assuming a sale.) not only are they taking a tiny step to already booking in their own minds, but they’re also giving you a little confidence when you see them choose that parking space when they drive up.

If you don’t have a physical location that they visit, you can always assume the sale, again humbly, in your communications.

Hot tip: Try asking your couple a question, any question, when you’re discussing your services before they book, that has an obvious answer of yes.

By just them answering yes to absolutely any question, it triggers them to answer yes again.

Isn’t that so interesting?

We talk about this strategy and so many more in our VIP membership, The Vendors Circle. It’s opening for enrollment soon.
